Nevada Adopts Updated CDC Mask Guidance

Updated 05/13/2021 Starting May 13th, Nevada announced its alignment with the CDC’s recommendations on mask usage, including any subsequent guidance issued by the CDC. As a result, the State of Nevada no longer requires or prohibits private entities from confirming vaccination status of individuals. Employers and organizations are encouraged to post signage with the latest CDC mask guidance for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests. In general, people are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age. you are NOT fully vaccinated. keep taking all mask wearing and social distancing requirements until you are fully vaccinated.
