Expert Panels at VYTS: Instructions and FAQ

Who is the audience for the Expert Panel sessions? #

 

The audience is composed of (A) travel agents/travel industry professionals and (B) consumers, who are attending either the North  America, UK/EMEA or Asia Pacific / Australasia shows. (See the ‘Audience Stats’ tab.)

 

Who can apply to organize an Expert Panel? #

 

All VYTS Exhibitors and Sponsors are welcome to apply, as well as any Travel/Tourism related associations and groups; DMO;  NGO; large well known brand travel agency and tour operator groups.

 

Who can apply to be a moderator? #

 

The Expert Panel organizer typically will nominate and arrange for the moderator, who may be from within or outside of their  organization.

 

How many Expert Panel sessions can one apply to organize, moderate or speak at? #

 

Up to 2 for any one show, by location (i.e. North America, UK/EMEA, Asia Pacific / Australasia). Expert Panel sessions are rated  by the viewers. Popular organizers, moderators and speakers are most welcome back!

 

How does one submit an application to organize an Expert Panel? #

 

Only applications through https://www.travelmole.com/sched-vyts-expert_panel.php will be considered.

 

What recognition will the organizer receive? #

 

Expert Panel organizers will be recognized on all postings publicizing the event with their name and logo, where applicable.

 

Are there a ‘sponsor’ for the Expert Panel sessions? #

 

Paid sponsors are welcome.

 

How are topic angles for each Expert Panel session determined? #

 

You are the experts, please submit a few suggestions. Topics must be relevant, topical, engaging, entertaining and not  commercial. They may be genetic topics relevant to both the B2B and B2C audience or just to the B2B audience. The VYTS Expert Panel Coordinator will revert with their favorite and any suggestions.

Can we use a recent panel session we recorded? #

 

If the session was (A) recorded no more than 90 days prior to the relevant VYTS Show date; (B) does not contain messaging from  competitors of TravelMole and VYTS; (C) does not contain advertising; (D) does not contain copyrighted content, you may submit them for our consideration.

 

How and when will VYTS let us know if they are interested in our application to organize an Expert Panel session? #

 

The VYTS Expert Panel Coordinator will reply to all submissions within 3 business days, after the review by a combined team composed of VYTS Expert Panel Coordinator, VYTS Event Manager, VYTS Content Leader and VYTS Social Media Manager.

 

Who decides what is discussed during the Expert Panel sessions? #

 

The moderator and/or organizer, but it must be relevant, topical, engaging, entertaining and not commercial.

 

How many speakers for each Expert Panel session? #

 

Maximum, 4.

 

Who will be the speakers for each Expert Panel session? #

 

The moderator and/or organizer may invite any relevant expert speakers to comprise half of the panel, as long as half half of speakers are VYTS exhibitors or sponsors.

 

When will the Expert Panel sessions be scheduled to go live? #

 

The recorded Zoom Expert Panels will be scheduled, by VYTS, to go live on VYTS Facebook Live page sometimes during the first 3 days of each weekly show, after which they are available for viewing on-demand.

 

How are the pre-recorded Zoom panel sessions done? #

 

The Zoom session needs to be recorded to stream to VYTS’ YouTube account, to which VYTS Expert Panel Coordinator will have added the organizer/moderator as a permitted submitter. Details will be provided. The pre-recorded session will ultimately end-up to be scheduled for streaming to VYTS’ Facebook Live page, where viewers can submit questions.

 

Is there an opening and closing script the moderator should follow? #

 

VYTS will provide the Moderator with a script for (A) the opening housekeeping, introduction to the session and panelists and (B)  the closing recognitions and to invite live and on-demand viewers to submit any questions.

 

How can I communicate with the Expert Panel Coordinator Team? #

 

Organizers and moderators will be provided a dedicated email address.

 

Will the organizer receive a list of the attendees to the Expert Panel session? #

 

No. Only paid Sponsors of the Expert Panel sessions will be able to download the list of the Expert Panel sessions.

 

Is there a Q&A session after the sessions’ scheduled live viewing? #

 

On VYTS’ Facebook Live page, where the Expert Panel session will be shown, viewers can submit questions during the scheduled live session and after the session, during the Q&A segment.

 

How many Expert Panel sessions will be published for each VYTS show? #

 

Up to 40 sessions. Each VYTS show runs from Monday through Sunday 24 x 7. Travel trade visitor are heaviest between 9 am – 5  pm show local time (i.e. North America, UK/EMEA, and Asia Pacific / Australasia), while consumers between 5 pm – 10 pm.

 

Is there an Expert Panel support team? #

 

The VYTS Expert Panel Coordinators, reporting to the VYTS Event Manager provide the pre and post event support. During the show, they are responsible for promoting and driving traffic to the various sessions, as they are scheduled to go live. The VYTS Content Leader and VYTS Social Media Manager, provide support for the promotions of the sessions.

 

Who will own the rights to the Expert Panel session? #

 

OmniTourism LLC, parent company of TravelMole and VYTS.
